I'll be adding information on my shop after a while. The shop was a retirement gift from my dear wife. When we built our retirement home she told me I should build a shop because I had always wanted one and with all the moving we did I never had an opportunity to have a "happy house" all to myself.

Well, now I do. It is a 24' by 24' half of a four car garage sized building. The other half is a two car garage which the vehicles haven't seen the inside of in years. I'm working on that.

More information and pictures to follow as I get time and energy to do it.

I have to echo Callum's comment. As a self-professed shop addict I find visual tours of other shops to be an interesting part of this group.

Well, today and yesterday were reasonably productive days in the shop. I managed to cut out all the plywood panels for a new entertainment center and have the solid wood parts nearly ready for the planing and joint making stage. Tomorrow is pretty much taken up with errand running but I hope to get started on planing the oak down to 3/4" thick. It will probably take most of the free time I have tomorrow. Then on Friday I plan to start cutting the joinery. With luck I may even get to dry fit some of the parts together.

As often happens I made a mistake in cutting one of the parts to rough size and had to make a new one yesterday. Fortunately I have quite a bit of stock to pick from so finding some for this "fix" wasn't difficult. However, since I buy all my lumber rough cut I had to mill this one from scratch again. Now I have everything except the drawer parts ready to cut the joinery. That won't happen until tomorrow. My daughter and her kids are coming over this afternoon so there won't be any shop time today. I don't work in the shop when there are little people around. There's just too much chance of one of them getting hurt.
