While I have made many rolling pins in my woodworking experiences, this is my first attempt at making a French Pin. It's simplicity makes it look easy, but there is a lot more work involved, than meets the eye. This particular one is made from cherry, with two walnut Celtic Knots, and two curly Maple end caps. It measures 20.75 inch X 1&5/8" flat between the knots, and tapers down to 1&1/8" at the end caps My inspiration&mentor for this is "Lew", who makes the finest Celtic knot French Rolling Pin, that I have ever seen. This doesn't even come close to one of yours Lew, but it is a start for me, and one of these days, I will get brave enough and try one with your design. Thanks for looking, C&C Welcome.
