Nice work, Adam. Segmented turning opens up all manner of possibilities with the lathe.

Good work Adam, I think more people should venture into segmented turning, it is far less complicated than it looks. I made one almost identical to this and we use it everyday on the counter as a place to store spatulas and the like.

It's a great way to use up strips of material, and much safer than turning a larger size blank for average turners. The patterns that can be achieved using wood mixtures is striking, as Adam has done with the Walnut spiraling up the side.

Outstanding! That's a VERY nice piece. Hard to believe that it's only your 3rd lathe project! I'm looking forward to trying some segmented work as well and this is great motivation!
