Project Information

I built this for a local firefighter with a 52qt cooler inside, top handle was carved by a gentleman in Ohio from Hickory, the bottle opener is a miniature Halligan tool. The Maltese cross was CNC carved from Oak with his name and badge number. The frame is all made from cedar and inlayed chrome diamond plating and finally a Brass drain. I have built several of these coolers but never two of the same and the largest one has a 120 qt cooler in it.

This axe handle is fantastic, besides all other fireman signs. Very unique idea.

Very cool. The grain of the wood even looks a little like flames.

Well done. I am sure many will like to see more about how the "fireman's best friend" becomes an opener.
