I do not know much about marquetry and I am curious what is the tool in the second photograph? Is it shop made?

Welcome to Lumber Jocks, Filip. MC, the piece you inquired about is a (forgive my spelling) chevalet du marquetterie and is used for fine cutting of veneers in the process of marquetry. By the way, Filip, very nice piece in the fourth picture. That cat looks almost alive!

Very nice work, shop, and tools. I too am ignorant when it comes to marquetry so any elaboration on your work and tools would be enlightening.

And welcome to LJ's. Great group of people here who are always there to provide some insight.

Nice shop Filip.
You have some serious industrial grade machines there.
Of course it is still the hands of the artisan that create the art. :)

I love your shop especially you work buddy. I have a work buddy that used to stay in my woodshop too. But, she as she grew older, it was time for her to come indoors.
