after our discussions of Wood Spirits and I discovered the face in the one piece of 2×4 I also found this piece of knot wood that had fallen out of a board.
I thought the wood itself was beautiful and sat it on my workbench as an inspiration. I guess I was doing as Frank does, without knowing - I just watched it, admired it, and I guess listened for it to tell me what it was meant to be, because it finally said to me "I'm a feather".
And so I got out my wood-burner and burned my rendition of a feather onto the face of the wood.
The back of the wood is just as beautiful as the smooth front and so it is extra special to me.
The final picture posted is the Feather Stick sitting in my little Heart Box, to give you an idea of its size.
I wish you could all hold it-I think it is a very powerful little piece of wood.
