Looks great!

That's a lot of shelving for one book, though. :)

Nice work, Grant. One can always use more book space!

Great piece.

So did he have it partly constructed and asked for your help, or was it one of those situations where someone asks for "help" which means I want you to do the whole thing??

Arched raised panel doors. Nice touch.

bigperm,
the neighbor is not very mechanically inclined. He is great at coming up with ideas and stuff but lacks the know-how to do it. We worked well together in my garage to construct all of this and he helped with the install also. I did not have to stain it as his wife jumped in to do that part of the job.

These look really well done. Like everyone else here, I would like to live next to a neighbour as talented as you.

A couple of questions:

1. did you install a leveling base to mount the cabinets on? or install and and shim the cabinets level?
2. did you leave an 1/16 or 1/8" overhang on the face frame in order to scribe the cabinet to the wall?
