I got a fresh jug of epoxy! This is basically me playing with it and some pearl pigments usually used for automotive paints.
Quite a while ago I grabbed this oak log from the family farm. It has been sitting out for years after it was cut up from some fallen limbs for firewood. I wanted to see if I could get some usable pieces of wood from it (which I will in an upcoming video)
I had also been saving the old broken LED candle figuring I could use the guts for some project. I'm not sure if it comes through in the video but it has a gentle flicker, and has a timer to turn off/on automatically.
To stabalize the wood and be able to slice it I filled the voids with the resin. I think the cross sections came out with some pretty amazing patterns and I will find some way to use the extras in the future.
