Broke ground late Spring 2020, so far the work has been just myself with the build. From digging the footers up to the ridge. It has been a good build and even though it is some work at times. I feel good about the progress, with building during the evenings and weekends. At present the roof sheathed and felted.

The shop, footprint is 16' x 32' with a gambrel roof with a loft at each end. The small covered porch at the end, will be a nice sitting area to ponder the next steps in any build project down the road.

Thanks for viewing, I have been inspired by some of you folks here, and I hope to pass that on to others.

Here it is 2020, and I finally broke ground on a shop building, 16' x 32 footprint. Been excited to get this build underway, I have everything scheduled out and should be finished by Labor Day.

Hi Tony, - I did start up a blog for this shop build. Posted a sketch so folks can get an idea of the build. I'll do my best to keep it updated and photos.

Thank You Calvin13

This project has been all me in the build, except for the overhead door install (got a deal there) and I will call an electrician to hook up the service panel when the time comes.

It is a good feeling to say "Hey I did that" and I know what is in it to. Looking forward to setting it up in a few months.

Thank Devin, I put some work into last year with the build, and I'm still working on the set up.

Some new additions to the workshop.

1962 Craftsman Table Saw, 9" needs a tune up, but other than that sings. About 1/3 the decibles of the one it replaced. It not the original motor, but it is dual voltage.

Bit & Brace (2) with 45 bits. One has a Stanley stamp on it, have to clean up the other one to see what it is. There was also another 25 twist bits and spade bit in the lot.

And a couple of rabbit planes

Not in the photos is 10 small files, square, triangular and flat.

Cool shop & project. Put a ZCI on that antique.

I love the porch. Nothing like sitting with a cup of Joe watching the sun go down after a long but productive day in the shop. Ahhhhhh …

A man only gets so many sunsets in his life. Each should be savored.
