Project Information

I am about 1/3 done on the trim work for the entertainment center. When finished there will be 4 runs of trim that follow the contour of the cabinet. One base, one crown under the counter top, and the crown at the top will be 2 piece of the same base and crown, but with the base upside down. I also added some more 3/4" poplar around the base of the shelf uprights to give them some added weight, and put some trim on top of them. I am thinking of adding some of that same small trim to the inside of the face frame on the ends of the cabinet, but am afraid it will be a tad to much. I kind of like the simple lines of the end face frames. What do you guys think. Trim the face frame or no?

I have seen some built-ins similar to what you are doing in style. That would be paint grade with all the stacked trim. The frame and panels usually have a small trim running around the inside of the frame. You can always get some trim, cut and friction fit it in to see if you like it.

I agree with Todd, I think a little trim on the inside of the frame might look better.

That's a good idea, Todd. I will post some pics with some trim in them and see how you guys like them.
