Project Information

The entertainment cabinet was made several years ago to custom fit my television and tall speaker. Adjustable shelves hold the other electronics. Now, to both cover up the equipment visually and keep our toddler from the urge to push buttons, I added doors.

~7/8" quartersawn white oak with a typical arts & crafts finish. Hand chopped mortises and some nice glass. The glass has the nice feature of covering the view, but remote control signals still get through. One door ended up a little twisted, but I was in a hurry to hang them. Can see this where the two meet at the floor. I may try to coerce it flat. The finish on the doors is more complete than I even did the surrounding cabinet, so I'm also forced to finish it up a bit so it matches - some day.

ED- This looks great! I'm not sure how I missed it. The oak and glass look terrific together.
