Uhhh… so you you used a stain, huh? Most cuttingboards aren't stained and it's for good reason.

You might, and by "might" I mean definitely, might want to double check the canister you used to see if it is labeled as "food safe" or "FDA Approved for food contact"; almost all wood stains are absolutely not food safe and could get someone seriously sick if you used the wrong stuff for your finish and they use that cuttingboard.

I'm pretty sure adding a few coats of mineral oil on top doesn't render the stain underneath food safe.

I meant the stain as athe mineral oil, I dint mean for it to sound as if I actually put STAIN on.
