The pulley on my old Craftsman band saw sheared in half, so it was stuck on the shaft so I made this pulley puller out of plywood and some bolts. You just turn the nut on the center bolt and hold the other end of that same bolt, which moves the apparatus away from the motor. You need a slot in the plywood that fits around the shaft behind the pulley. The plywood is 3/4 inch thick and it bent under the load but it did the job. If you wanted to avoid the bend you could put a metal strap between the 2 bolts laying across the slot and that would fix it.
