Eggshell Mosaic

Very beautiful turning.
How interesting is that outer ring design … can you give a little detail about material and process?

The whole maple platter was turned and then the eggshells were applied. Then a thin layer of Liquitex Modeling Paste is applied over the eggshells and left to dry. Once dry, the eggshell mosaic is sanded down.

Are those actual egg shells, How did you attach them, do they have a top finish, Incredible for a first time project. Bet you have lots that you haven't shown us.
