Nice job. Does the vacuum motor over heat inside there?

Nice lookin' cabinet, but like Topa asked, " where does it get its makeup air from?", to keep from over heatin'.

Thanks! I left two 2" gaps along the full width of the back, I was hoping that would help with overheating.

People's shop cabinets are looking better than my furniture!

AAAAhhhhh!!

Really nice job. Thoughtful design. Excellent execution.

It would be interesting to know how much sound deadening you think you got out of that.

I've saved nearly all the Styrofoam packing material (my wife loves me for this….) that came with any bought-new power tools.

I've been thinking about slicing them up, gluing them onto some OSB (or whatever), and building my box to house my DC.

I know I should make a new thread, here (and still might!), but I think my eyeballs are full of baltic birch plywood and whatever they glue it together with … after a lengthy routing session, last night :p

Particularly like the drill/impact driver storage idea . . . very clever. That Porter Cable looks like a beast.

looks pretty good, I would have left more of the back open… needs lots of air movement to keep it cool…
