Pictured: Here are two sets of coasters made from the limbs of Live Oak and Chinaberry trees, both I cut with my chain saw from local land, the chinaberry was blown down by high winds, the live oak was from a clearing of land, they are both finished with a single coat of tung oil, 3 coats of exterior Varnish and a final coat of paste wax.

Both are beautiful. I like the china berry wood, not sure I have seen it before.

No stain on that live oak set? It is a LOT darker than what Dallas sent me. Love the grain on that Chinaberry!

No Andy it was naturally dark but I think the tung oil might have made it just a tad bit darker.

Very cool coasters! Like the dark ones but the grain on the china berry is amazing. Great work!
