Project Information

This is a male pistachio tray that was ordered at my last craft show. the lady saw my pistachio charcuterie dish and wanted a tray made from that very wood. I had 2 pieces and I started it the next day and had all the pieces cut and then the lady finally called back 3 days later and said she no longer wanted it. It is 1 3/4" at the handle and 7 1/2" x 14" . It is finished with Danish Oil and buffed and waxed

Nice work, as usual!!

Experiences like yours with being asked to make it, then cancelling, keep me from trying to sell my items.

Beautiful wood and I like the way you designed the handle and handle recesses.

Beautiful wood, well done tray. Hopefully a real buyer comes along and gives more than the other fake buyer was offering. That kind of behavior is a downer to selling.

Thank you all for the nice comments, I'll have it for sale at the next art and craft show. I think it will sell. I do think I should be getting half down on orders like this. That way the customer is less apt to back out. I guess I'm too trusting. The price I quoted was without the handles. So when I heard she did not want it, I upped the design.. I have it in mind for a gift, too!!

Cheers, Jim
