Project Information

I made this dresser/ bookshelf, with an attachment (future keepsake box) to raise the height of the changing pad an additional 6", for easy access to the baby. Once my daughter finishes using it as a changing table, the attachment can be removed and rolled under a bed for storing my future grandson's keepsakes. All cherry wood and used dominos for joints. Hope you enjoy.

Very nice.
This isn't a criticism, but are you worried at all that while it's being used as a change stand, the exposed area of the cherry dresser top will age, leaving a lighter rectangle when the change table addition is removed?

I've avoided cherry on projects that change configuration for this reason, most notably a convertible crib/toddler bed/bed.

That actually never crossed my mind, but very good point. Typically the tables aren't used that long, so hopefully it will only be there 6-8 months, plus the window is not real close. If there is a slight difference, it should balance out relatively quickly.
Thanks for looking!
