Project Information
I use my Dremel quite often for many different tasks. Depending on the task at hand I've found it easier and safer to hold the workpiece to the Dremel rather than the other way around. This jig is just a simple box with a support designed to help steady the Dremel and not bind the electrical cord and a U-bolt with wing nuts to hold the Dremel to the stand. Inside the box I have several pounds of steel brackets to reduce movement of the stand and I can also clamp it to my workbench. It's not pretty nor something that's precision made. That's not its purpose. It does however work extremely well. In the photos I'm using it to touch up some wooden wheels I made. The wheels are mounted on a dowel rod so it can spin freely. The cap on the end of the dowel serves to make sure the wheel doesn't come off the dowel until it's supposed to.
