Project Information

Not an elder yet in any real statistical way, just feeling old after cutting 100 or so dovetails.

The moxon vice is the suprise. I needed it to cut the dovetails on the blanket chest 20" boards and it turned out the thing is a back saver. Lifting the board up so I can stand up is sheer genius.

The light stand with the swiveling goosenecks saves me swiveling my stiff bullneck around looking for a knife mark.

Last but not least "I'm not old and I don't need glasses, the print in this newspaper is just getting smaller!" is no longer heard echoing from the bathroom. I don't really have arms too short, my wife was just getting tired of me stealing her glasses when the saws came off the rack. These little magnetic beauties are perfect for the shop. They hang off the neck without any danger of being pulled into a machine. They really shine at the table saw as I lean over to set up the fence with a ruler. I can see the 32nds without squinting. Doesn't help me banging a too long board into place though.

The last one wasn't really a project, just a good idea for the old at heart.
