Project Information

This was a small project for Shannon Rogers' Hand Tool School, Semester 1. It was a project based on the sliding dovetail lesson. The top is walnut and the bottom piece is maple. It was my first sliding dovetail and I think it came out pretty good. It is a little chunkier than I would have liked but it will get the job done. If your interested in getting in to hand tools check out Shannon's site HandToolSchool.net, it's pretty damn awesome.

That is nice work. In the close up there are no gaps an the contrasting woods show off the fit! Well done.
