Project Information
This table is built from solid red oak. The "display" part of it is made of plywood with black felt glued to it with 3M spray adhesive. The glass is 1/4" thick plate glass. The dimensions are 4' X 2.5' and 19" tall. The finish is Minwax Early American stain and Minwax wipe on poly gloss. The "frame" around the glass is 6" wide so to prevent cupping I joined two strips a little over 3" wide using my glue joint router bit from MLCS woodworking which is a must have for anyone that joins a lot of boards together.
I have approximately $70 in wood and other materials, the glass cost $34, and I had about 35 hours in labor.
