Project Information

I was contracted to make a display case. The display was designed to hold a gun collection. The display was mounted behind his bar and features a custom adjustable rail system I designed to support a variety of different guns. The cabinet is poplar and birch ply finished in a satin black. The 2 doors are 46" wide by 6" tall to allow an un-obstructed view. The rail system features a sliding french cleat at the top to allow for left and right adjustment. The rails are cherry. The guns rest on 2" cherry dowels I turned and feature an offset hole making the dowel act as a cam allowing up and down fine adjustment. I installed an RGB L.E.D. strip light to the inside with over 100 different programs since this was behind the bar and was his entertainment room. His condo overlooks the river and as you come into town you can see the lights from the display. I've never seen the lights off since I delivered this display case.
