Disc sander 'upgrade'...
'Or simply a new fence for my disc sander'

I was tired of the little plastic fence that came with the sander, most of all because it was not all straight, and not all vertical, and not high enough… So plenty of reasons.

Simply build the new of plywood, and made it straight in all ways, so now I can sand more accurate.
I made it low in the back, so I can mount a higher front if needed (mounted from the back side), and also so it was possible to use the adjustment for the angel.

Hope it can be at some inspiration,

MaFe

Looks good Mads. All of these improvements to frequently used tools really add up to increased efficiency and accuracy. It has really opened my eyes learning about fine tuning tools since I started woodworking. You seem to be very good at it.

Hi guys:
Thank you for the comments.

Diggerjack-France: Yes naturally, I can perhaps borrow some inspiration from your drill press table.
Mike: Thank you, and yes I love to improve things, and as I say, I enjoy the process of making a workshop, so I'm in no hurry for 'woodworkin'. too busy playing arround… ;-)
Dennis: I'm not patient enough, I usually even like to use a 60 paper…

I solved this problem by simply using the miter gauge from my tablesaw on my disc sander since the slot is the same on mine. However, I have had some tools with those cheap miter guage and I can see why you would want to improve it.
