Dimensional Wood Signs

Here is a sample of wood signs I've made over the years. Redwood, Cedar, Cypress, Mahogany, etc. all get the same treatment for our local climatic conditions. Oil based, stain-blocking primer thinned to penetrate the wood, then a couple of un-thinned coats. The top coats are general 30 year latex or acrylic house paint, applied as per the manufacturer's instructions. A "clear coat" is never applied to the signs after painting.
If the sign is two sided, it is suggested to the owner to flip the sign every year for equal exposure to both sides. Most of the larger ones are 1.5 - 2" thick.
