Workshop Information

Location
United States
This is a two car garage heated with a 220 electric wall mount. I am fortunate to have many basics and many, many handy hand tools. The overhead wood storage works great (that was my husband's idea). I have found labeling and sorting wood by type and size saves a great deal of time. The cart at the rear of Aisle 1 is actually a used medical cart I purchased at a supply company sale. One side is all prep supplies and the other is for finishing. It doubles as a work or finish station and is mobile. The shop's electrical comes from the ceiling since we have dogs and also foster puppies for a local rescue org. I'm sure you can see by last pic just how relaxing a workshop can be!!

That shop looks a good deal like my shop! Take a look at mine and see if you agree:

I've added a few things since I made this page on my website, but it still kinda looks like yours to some degree, I think. Your shop is a way more organized and looks cleaner than mine though, he, he.

Great looking shop and well laid out. The medical cart is a really good idea.

I too use a 2-car garage, but mine isn't as clean and organized as yours! Mine is crammed full of not only my wood working "stuff" but also our household accumulation over the years. If and when I get around to getting a shop built in the back acre, it will be only my shop and not household storage!!! I see you also have an assistant like mine sawing the log for you!

Looks like a great place to work, and it seems you have some good company in there too. Just watch out for any wood near the floor, at least mine likes chewing on scraps…

Thanks to all of you for the welcome to LJs. Shop is never as clean as pics, those shots were sent to magazine for an article. I like it best with some sawdust on the floor!!! Seems all pets like the shop because, I believe it makes them feel closer to nature.
