Project Information

Other then some trim work, the house for daughter is complete. It took over a year, which included building me a new garage for my woodworking shop and boat, and, she was adamant about buying materials as she could and did not borrow a dime to complete either project. I am proud of her and of the finished project! It started out as my garage, the upstairs had been used for storage when we bought the house. It now has 2 bedrooms and a full bath upstairs, the downstairs is an open floor plan with a half bath.
The only thing that we hired to have completed was the cement for the new garage, and the taping of the drywall, some things are better left to the masters!
The pics are of the outside finished, the downstairs before, during and the final finished kitchen. The cabinets I made from Ash, with just a polyacrylic finish on them.

Looks great! I'm just finishing a basement remodel; I couldn't imagine doing a whole house. I agree with your decision to have someone do the cement and taping, they are both on my list of things I'm willing to pay someone else to do.

There is nothing better than using your talents to help someone else, your family, or save yourself some real money. Great job on the remodel.

That is a great house. And doing it debt free is a decision that she will not regret. Very nice work. You both should be proud.
