Project Information

My daughter has been very busy during the holiday season working on Christmas Gifts for special people in her life.
Pic 2 shows the ornament that she made for the LumberJocks's Ornament Swap.
Pic 3 shows a set of Lanyard Pens for her teacher and Girl Scout leader.
Pic 4 is the pen she made for her CCD teacher
Pic 5 she is working on the pen for her other Girl Scout leader.
Pic 6 she is putting the finishing touches on Grandpa's toothpick holder.

The finished Pen…

The finished Toothpick Holder..

She learned how to do the burning on both of these projects.

She also completed 3 Seam Rippers, 1 for Momma…

and 2 for her sewing teachers.. which they will get this week.

and yes the pick one has Hello Kitty on it.

I helped her out by doing an image transfer to create a very one of a kind project.

So needless to say I am planning to have to share the lathe a lot over this coming year. Which is fine by me. :)
If you want to see more about what she does in the shop see my Kids in the Shop blog area.

Thanks all for looking. I wish you all a Happy, Healthy and Dusty New Year :)

Wow, quite the good little woodworker. Nice work on the lathe. Watch out Pop, you're going to lose your shop to her.

I am sooooo jealous, as none of the young'uns in my family are interested in anything other than video games and texting. Sad for me, hooray for you!

Sweet, Sharing time with your kids like this will be great memories for her when she grows up. Two of my 3 are very handy and they have things in their home that we made together that I know they cherish.
