I have been working (as a hobby) with wood for about 10 years, taking classes at a local JC. I started building a step stool which I use all the time. Then I made some finger joint boxes, Mancala boards and other flat projects. Lately my girlfriend & I got into turning and now have 2 lathes. We also have a tablesaw, chopsaw, sander, drillpress, scro;;saw, grinder, sander and assorted hand tools. we do NOT have a jointer or planer, yet.

We started turning when we went to the local Woodcraft store and turned a "Pen for the Troops" and we were hooked. Since we've turned pens, bottle stoppers, bowls, salt & pepper shakers, ice cream scoops and many more things.

Dan, I will have to add second to Helluvawreck's comment about this being a nice shop. It looks like it is neat and well organized. And having his and hers lathes sounds like an excellent idea.

Thanks for the pictures. I enjoyed taking a tour of your shop.
