Thank you for your kind words. The wood is Black Limba and was purchased on Ebay at a store called
ExoticWoods. I think they're in TN, and they are very nice and knowledgeable people with an awesome collection of lumber.
Thanks again and enjoy the holidays.
That is one nice board, by in far the most pleasing grain pattern and coloring I have seen to date. Thanks for telling use the wood used. I looked it up here: http://www.wood-database.com/lumber-identification/hardwoods/limba/ and noted that the end grain pours are rather large. This leads me to the conclusion that extra care should be taken in sealing and cleaning.
Thank you for the friendly advice on the sealing and cleaning of the black limba cutting board and the link to the information on the aforementioned.
I took a magnifying glass out for reading small print and the limba looked huge just like the ones' in the link.
I appreciate your time and efforts ken_c
Happy New Year!
