Project Information

Getting to the finish line for show season. Two more to go and I can hang up the board-making-me until January. Last show is 12/12. 12/13 is clean the house and shop day then taking the rest of the year to finish up some personal gifts and to enjoy the holidays and work on creating some new on-paper designs for next season.

These are just a few of the boards for the next show.

I promise I'm not a one-trick pony - have some serving trays and trivets for holiday gifts in the works - will post those eventually. But boards are the thing of the day.

The first one is maple and walnut - friend says it looks like a surf board - I won't say what she thinks the second one is.

The second picture is cherry and walnut.

The third and fourth are just simple face grain boards that are longer. Both have cherry, maple, walnut and ash thrown in for good measure.

The last one is an end grain board I call "Pretty Boy" for no other reason that I like it so I figured it needed name. It's also walnut, cherry, maple and mahogany.

Thanks for looking.

I like them!

I used to use something similar to the second one when I taught school!

Niiice !
The first one instantly transported me back to my youth, on a skateboard!
The 2nd one also transported me back, to the 5th grade. I got 3 whacks from the principle in front of the whole 5th grade class. Some "Stupid Girl" told on me when I pulled her hair! :)

"OK Joey, face the blackboard and grab your ankles" ... Geeze, I can STILL hear Mrs McCollough's voice!
