Project Information

It's been awhile since I posted a knife project, so I decided to update my project listings with another one.
This month I made this knife for myself while I made another knife for a commission, but bills being what they are, I have decided to offer it for sale.

I have built several new knives for myself over the years that I ended up selling later, and the short term pain is worth having some bills paid up.

If you are interested in purchasing, you can visit the Etsy Store listing

This is a custom made knife, used for hunting, skinning, or just around the kitchen or shop.
The blade is Damascus Steel, that has been chemically etched to show the metal layering.
The blade hand guard is also Damascus Steel

I did Decorative Hand Filing to the back of the Blade and also to the Hand Guard.

The handle material is from naturally shed trophy bull elk antlers, taken from an upper tine.

The End of the handle is capped with a solid, authentic Arizona Turquoise Stone Nugget. I have drilled and attached the stone nugget to the handle with a brass rod and epoxy so that it will be very durable and won't break off.

Also included are decorative bands of black, white, and Adobe Red (Rust) made from knife lining, a vulcanized rubber material that is very durable.

SIZE:
Blade is 3" long and 5/8" wide and 3/32" thick
Handle: is 4" long from the top of the hand guard 1-1/8" wide and 3/4" thick

Outrageously fantastic and perhaps a bit underpriced. You won't have that one long.

nope, on the bedroom….thanks for asking Grizzman. Next on the priority list is the old barn's stone foundation collapsed in one section about the time we had a few minor earthquakes…..so now I need to fix it up before it all falls in the basement. Always something. I am making good progress on the big log mill though, so that's good.

Hey Karson, thanks.
this is a piece of the turquoise I bought from the mine in AZ, which I sent you half of. Have you had a chance to use the turquoise on anything?
