Project Information
This blanket box is made with red oak and walnut, with unfinished aromatic cedar interior. The legs have a routed slot to accommodate 1/4" red oak plywood, kerf-cut on the back to allow it to follow the curve in the leg slots. The top is red oak cut at 45 degree angles in four sections to make it come to a point in the center. These pieces are glued to plywood then a walnut/oak/walnut rail goes around the lid. The finish is sanding sealer and lacquer, sprayed. This is being donated to a fundraiser for the Illinois Master Gardeners' annual state conference to be held later this year.
