This is a bowl I turned wile attending a class with David Marks in Nov '08. Great class didn't need but couldn't pass up the opportunity to attend a class with a renowned master craftsman and a great down to earth guy. I left the knot as it was that is why I picked that peace of wood. Wile everyone else was going for the more solid peace I went for it I figured if I mess it up maybe David could show me something else to do with it. Instead it came out better then I and David thought it would. After I was done the guys joked and said that the knot being open made it a true peace of art because it was useless as a bowl it couldn't hold anything. The finish is just a Tung oil with multiple layers and a lot of elbow… Glad you enjoyed the bowl Thank you.
