CRAVIOLA-STYLE ELECTRIC GUITAR

This Brazilian Giannini Craviola style guitar body was constructed in three layers.

The top layer is a sampling of reclaimed rosewood, greenheart, walnut, maple, cherry, mahogany, oak, yellow pine, and cedar woods.

The center section was constructed using reclaimed barn oak.

The bottom section was constructed using reclaimed yellow pine on either side and cedar in the center.

The inlays and the electronics cover on the bottom are reclaimed solid walnut.

Great looking guitar! What kind of glue do you use for the layering and laminating?

Just regular old bar claps - the key is to make sure my edges are truly square and no gaps between boards before gluing up.

Sweet! Have never seen that shape before! I have a unique design acoustic, as well.

I have a Giannini Craviola classical, and that's exactly what this guitar reminded me of the second I saw it.

Do you make your own necks, or do you just size the neck pocket to fit whatever you have on hand?
