Project Information

This is an interesting wine bottle holder. Made the first one about 2 years ago for a friend that has a wine shop. I probably have made 60 or 70 of the little suckers so far. They make unique gifts and also retail quite well. Made a few "Santa Cowboys" for Christmas, with a Santa Suit and a Santa Cowboy Hat, didn't make enough of them.

Welcome to Lumberjocks. I like the bottle holders, and I can imagine that at Christmas time the Santas would
sell easily. Might be interested in borrowing your idea if you would not mind and you are not close enough
that I would be cutting into your market. Thank you for sharing.

Thank you and use the project and hope you sell a ton of them.
Some additional information
By changing the body shape, hat style, color, etc. you can create an endless amount of variations.
I have been making them from pine and use propane burner to lightly bring out the grain and make them a bit more rustic.
I use a wood burning tool to separate the different colors, the water based stain I use will bleed.
And all wine bottles are not created equal. Although the look to be the same size some are a bit larger than others.
I am located in central Texas, but only have a few outlets here.

You could change the theme for nurses, doctors, police officers, etc. and have an endless variety. My complements!

Thank you for the comments.
Yes the varieties are pretty much endless.
Made several special requests.
One was for a Halloween theme so I made a headless horseman holding a jack-o-lantern.

Another was for a UT football player. The player turned out fine, then I turned a half of a football for the bottle cap. When I put it together, it looked like a very excited football player - definitely rated "R". I'm sure you can get a visual of a football player with a bottle sticking out between his legs and a half of a football on the end of the bottle. Had to trash the football cap ideal and made a longhorn head. Then it looked fine.
