Project Information

Hey Lumberjocks, this ain't lumber it's Corian and it is fun to work with. I acquired some pieces of this material from a cabinet maker, I use it sparingly. I was between projects and saw my small stash and wondered what I could make and thought of this. Most important my wife really likes it too!!

Thanks for looking, as always All Comments are welcome!!

Great looking. Did you do the glue up or was that the way that you got the scrap?

If your wife likes it, it's perfect. Corian is fun to turn because it is so uniform and has no grain. You put me to shame for not doing something like this for my wife.

Polymers, tsk, tsk, tsk. Just kidding Chuck. I remember many, many years ago when I was introduced to Corian by an architect who incorporated into some reception desks at the UPMC Presbyterian Hospital emergency dept. Was really easy to work with and it was less maintenance for the environmental service folks.
