Project Information
A new dresser for my son.
I like the asymmetrical look, so I designed this one as a trapezoid.
The design certainly created challenges and probably tripled the time it would normally take to make. the right side is 7 degrees off perpendicular. I have undermounted, full extension slides that also created its share of challenges in mounting drawers that are all different widths.
The walnut sections of the drawer front are made out of a single piece of wood. I had to do some careful math and cutting to keep the grain aligned on the right side.
