Project Information

No, this desk was not for me. As much as i suck at computers, it would be pointless for me to need one this big. This was built for an Apartment Leasing Office in Findley OH. It's made of maple and stained a brown mahogony. It's sprayed with catalyzed lacquer. I recently started spraying and so glad i did. It cuts my time by over half. Now Bret seems to think i should build him one for his office. (i don't think so)

This is very nice design and suits office's use and enviroment.
Sure you do not need desk this big, what you need is a studio and a video-cam…ha ha ha….!
Really very nice design and built.

Nice desk. How did you make the top? Is it solid or veneer?

Kate- The top is maple veneered, everything else is solid maple.

coolwood973- I don't turn down too amny jobs, but Bret helps with my videos and answers my "stupid" computer questions. So he just wants it for free. That's why i say "i don't think so"

Chad, this is a gorgeous computer station and you did a good job on design and finish. Maple can be a challenge to stain but you obviously did a wonderful job with this piece. Nice job.

raz0rr0b- Yes, it was assembled there. That becomes the most challenging part of designing furniture for me. Almost everything has to be able to break down and look as if it is one solid piece. It not only has to be structurally strong but fit nicely too.
