Zebrano,

This is beautiful. But come to think about it I say that about all your posts. Maybe you could post some shaving or a rock or something just so I can change my comments. :)

Seriously this is very nice. Both of the carvings are so rich in form and detail. This is impressive, especially given its size. (For those not used to metric measurements the length is 2.4 inches and the height is 1.4 inches.)

Thanks for the post.

Zebrano,

This is excellent work!

Did you chose a snail because that's the only thing that would hold still long enough for you to carve? LOL

Very good work!

Thanks Scott and toyguy.
But I have to say I`ve spent a lot of time for this snail. It took me about 2-3 days.Because I did not know how I could carve small parts and I saw at my snail from one side and than from another side and thought: "How can I do it?"

A beautiful, & very well done creation!

Apple is a great wood for fine details.

I just happened to see this in the shuffle. Its hard to see everything on this site, its been so busy.

I especially like to see fellow carvers works.

What type of holder did you use for this carving?

To Dick & Barb Cain about the type of holder:
You mean how I fixed my object on-stream?
I hold it in my hands, I always do this way. I know it`s quite dangerous for my fingers but I`m very careful.
I had only two serious cuts for 10 years of my work.

To John Grey:
Thanks, I`d love to work with wood.
