Very nice design, pattern layout and wood selection, congratulations on a terrific project. Red and White oak in my opinion is ideally suited for furniture type projects like this one.

Nice work. That leaded glass really sets the piece off. Well done. Did you make the table to suit the glass, or buy the glass for the table?

Thank you all for the kind comments. To answer Gary in Scotland, knowing the table was designed for specific
glass inserts, I subsequently chose the stain glass as a post project endeavor.

I really like how there are some interesting design details with the curves and tapered legs, but they're subtle enough that it still looks traditional. It's also nice to see the QSWO left light in color too. Can I ask how you finished it? Is it just a clear coat?

To answer DBrown questions, I sanded all the oak down to #220 grit sandpaper and then added a light oil stain.
However, prior to my last sanding I raise the grain by adding a coat of water to the wood. This helps bring out the ray flecks during the staining and finishing. My choice of finish was several coats of rub on poly urethane.
