Project Information

There are four of these coasters, but these two turned out the best. I never knew there was a green colored wood out there, and I especially didn't know that that green wood is willow. These were a breeze to make, and they turned out pretty well. I think I finished them with mineral oil, but I'm not quite sure.

Nice job.

Let me share what I think is a neat idea. Drill a shallow hole in the bottom in the center and glue into the hole a thin rare earth magnet. The best size is 18 mm in diameter and 3 mm thick. Why - They will stack very easily.

Since your coasters are square (I usually make round ones), 2 magnets in each would keep them stacked and aligned.

Looks good. They really come in handy. I made some for my folks for Christmas. You can check em' out in my projects if you'd like. Keep up the good work.
