Project Information

These were a fun project.
made in 2 parts. Pine on top & masonite bottom for strength & visual effect.
Tightbond III glueup

Rough cut around with scroll saw

Fine trim with router & template stuck with double sided tape.

Finished with Feast Watson gloss wipe on poly, although the gloss doesen't show up too well on the pics.

I think I might do a few for presents!.

look great grump i wish i had the balls to try that fractal burning but for now im gonna leave it to you experts.put me down for a set-lol.

Thanks Bob & pottz. My son is an electrical engineer. he put me on the right safety track with it. I don't touch the electric rods.

The coasters look great Grumpy Love how they look! I'm with Pots a little chicken to try FB. I'm afraid that the lights would go dim and I would glow in the dark! LOL!

Those are pretty wild Tony. I wouldn't mind having my own set but don't want to try that route yet. LOL. I always think of branches on a tree when I see these.

Hi Tony, that is a great project and would make lovely presents. The interesting part is that no two are alike, you were brave doing something like that.

Mark, I have a method that does not touch the electric rods. It is safe. My son made sure of that.
