Project Information

I designed this Class of 2017 Graduate Picture Frame and Tassel Holder for my son who is graduating from high school this year. It's an easy weekend project. The frame is cut from maple. The mitered frame around the picture is Western Red Cedar, and this creates a rabbet to hold in the 5"x7" picture and glass. It's glued and screwed onto a Cherry base. I inserted a cuphook to hang the tassel.

Note: The tassel is 9.5" and the opening is 10.75". If you make one, measure the tassel first to make sure it will fit.

Thanks for checking out my project. I hope some other proud parents can use my template or idea to create something special for their graduates. Congrats to all of the 2017 graduates and their parents for a job well done!
