Cool blocks. Did you use 3 different size Forstner bits for these with 2 blocks inside. Can you please describe the bit and the depths you used to make the triple block?

WOW - that was a LOT of drilling!

I bet the stack of chips in front of your drill press was pretty impressive.

Great job and I'm sure every person who received one will love it.

The most difficult part was seperating the inner cube from the outer. I used a Dremel tool with a cutoff blade and then a carving bit. Once the inner cube was free I touched up the inside of the outer cube with a Dremel drum sander bit.
The cubes measure 3" across. The big hole was made with a 2" forstner bit and the smaller hole was 1". The depth of cut was such to leave about 1/16" to 1/32" remaining. Once set same depth was used for all.
