Project Information

A friend of mine loved her bottle opener so much she ordered 10 to give to her friends and relatives! So I said 'no problem!' and made 5 extra just because. (Ok, well, in case i screwed up any of hers). Anyway, I dug in to my scrap pile and here's what I came up with. There's maple, sapele, jatoba, walnut, paduak, purple heart, curly cherry and honduran rosewood in these (I think that's it at least!) glued up in all different manners. Had fun doing this and for her order I made little cards for each telling what they were made from and did half of the order with the leather loop handles. I didn't end up screwing any of them up (miracle) so now I have 5 extra to give as Christmas gifts!

Just wish my scrap bin looked that good. Nice job Kim, as usual you've added some of your creativity, and come up with a winner. Errrrr maybe a herd of winners.

Thanks for posting.

Excellent job as always! I like the contrasting wood. I'll trade you a kazoo for one.

Very nice.

The research and development on openers seems to get expensive for me.

Thanks guys! Fun build and I look forward to my friend sending me pictures of all her friends and relatives using them :) If any of you guys are going to make them I know ya'all are smart enough to figure it out but the patterns are on the WWGOA website.

rjR and Rob - research and development then QA testing = me definitely too drunk!

Tom - I really gotta have one of those Kazoos so you take your pick on which one you want! See I figure the 4 of us could test these bottle openers and play kazoos all night long! :)
