Project Information

Finished the chinquapin bar- some minor tweaks still but it is in place and drawers are filled. I plan to add a live edge shelf above the tabletop. I hand carved the handles. Stained all with Danish oil and Finished with Profin, except the top which has Deft poly varnish. Still need to attach the door for the cabinet in front but over-all it was a success!
Exposed mortise and tenon and bridle joint joinery. Side panels are shiplapped. The only glue is on the tenons (and the drawerbox's locking rabbet joints) and the only screws are through the drawer handles.

Nice job on all that mortise and tenon joinery, I can just see you standing back and admiring your handywork, well done.

Thanks. I do love the look of the exposed tenons. And yes, I am admiring it right now!
