I like it. Is it your own design? How many hens will it accomodate?

I looked at many different pictures online and put together all the things I liked about them, so yes and no. It can accommodate 4 hens, but I only have 3 at the moment.

Nice coop! Any plans for wire on the bottom of the pen? Thinking of building something similar in the spring.

I used hardware cloth and a staple gun, but looking back I should have used screws with washers securing the wire in place.

Nice job, AJS! This is a project that I keep intending to do but right now don't know if it is going to happen before or after the rabbit hutch….. to many projects…. so little time…. ha ha ha

Does that have wheels, as in the 'chicken tractor' style?

Also, I'm curious as to the breeds of the two chickens in the last pic. The white one seems to be a real 'layer' while the brown one must be some kinda rooster, as he seems to be struttin' his stuff.

Planned on putting wheels on it, but two people can lift it and move it, it's a bit of a struggle but not too bad.

Great, sustainable egg production! A great job on this AJS. I like the pull-out idea and it looks comfortable enough for the chickens too. I have fond memories of chickens I raised way back then. I used to buy the chicks at the local hardware store. I'll bet you can't do that at todays big box store.

Cool project, I like the idea of pull out nesting boxes. I have issues with cleaning ours.
