I built this cherry sideboard for the entryway in my home, but it has since become our television stand and storage unit in the living room. It worked so well with the television that I modified the design and built several other units as entertainment centers, one as a wedding present for my daughter and her husband. I look for cherry with interesting chatoyance for the door panels. This sideboard is finished with wipe on poly, others with an oil finish. I do not use stains on my cherry projects anymore.
