Hello, this is my one car garage woodworking shop located in Humble Texas.

I used most all the available space, walls, floor and even the ceiling. One wall is peg board and holds most of my tools that will hang on the wall. In the center is my workbench. It's made from 2X8 yellow pine. At first I was concerned that the yellow pine would be too soft but it is working out very well. The top is 2 3/4 thick and overall the bench is very heavy. I drilled a lot of dog bench holes for both the end and side vises. The shoulders for both (Vertas) vises are made of maple and walnut. The top is finished with Waterlox. Expensive but it worked well.

Primary woodworking tools are various Bosch and Porter Cable routers, Craftsmen drill press, Delta 14 in band saw, Delta planer, Rigid planer, Rigid jointer, Dewalt Miter saw, Sawstop Table Saw, Rigid Oscillating Belt and Spindle sander (EB4424), Porter Cable 7812 shop vac for saw dust, Jet Air filtration 1000b hanging from the ceiling and Delta 750 Dust Collection . I use (a lot) three nailers 15 gauge angle, 18 gauge brad nailer and 23 gauge headless nailer.
Recent purchases - Kreg Pocket Hole System, Grab RR, 23 gauge PC headless PIN nailer.

Hi Charlie,

You have a nice shop here and you have a wonderful collection of toys with which to play. I really like your collection of hand tools. I see you have been modifying your planer as well. :) Is the counter for your miter station a leftover from a kitchen remodel?

Very nice shop. I would enjoy working in there.

Charlie, if it wasn't for that box of scraps, I would say you need to build something and mix up those tools. That shop looks like a Rockler store. Nice set up for such a small space. Very light and clean. And welcome to Lumberjocks. I grew up off Hiway 59 up in New Caney.

thanks all. Scott you guessed correctly. The counter top is one I removed from a laundry room to install new cabinets and a bigger counter top. Also, I see you are a Kentucky fan. I'm right next too you being a Tenn fan living in Texas.

Great looking shop. You are my kind of guy Charlie! A place for everything and everything in its place. I am in the process of putting in a new 14 X 21 shop myself. Can hardley wait till it is up and running. Thanks for the inspiration.

God Bless
tom
